You could make it prohibitively expensive and then give only your friends discount codes. My guess is apps get buried in App Store search results quickly if they aren't highly promoted / going viral.

I don't have a 3-D printer, but I do have woodworking tools. Made a similar concept, but mine uses a 3 x 3 grid of those same fans in a cube form factor. Just used a whole saw to cut out the fan holes and mount them flush underneath the top. Looks spiffy, very quiet and moves a lot of air!

It's an interesting problem, what's a good measure the value of social networks? Fairly broad consensus building that algorithms tuned to maximize addiction and dominate attention are bad, maybe even defective product design. Fixing that probably lowers engagement.
