"The global economy has become dependent on the AI industry" Lost me with the first sentence. Bold claims demand bold evidence. Most research shows little to no business value from AI yet. If authors mean bets on AI are propping up the S&P500 that's one thing, and that's not the economy.

OpenCode is really powerful and feels faster than Claude Code. I go back and forth between them in the same project. Sometimes using CC until reaching a quota, then switching to OC and often don't switch back until starting a new feature or hitting a snag I think Opus would be better at solving.

Great free tools for making / working with bike routes: β€’ Move the start point of an existing route. Trim, reverse, or merge routes too - www.therideatlas.com/tools/ β€’ Overlay routes to compare them, edit courses with or w/o routing - gpx.studio Thanks and kudos to the authors! #cycling #gis

Seems widely assumed that if AI speeds up part of a system by 2/5/10x then it has similar impact on the overall system. But see Amdahl’s Law. Like, it can produce code 10x faster doesn't mean software companies will be 10x more productive or people will order 10x more grub hub.
