@calgaryclimatehub.caHonestly if you're the sort of person that goes for a stroll & notices a flower, bird, bug or beastie & thinks "what the heck is that thing?!?" then @inaturalist.bsky.social is for YOU. It's FREE & it HELPS SCIENTISTS DO SCIENCE. Just get it. Thank us later /3
@calgaryclimatehub.caWe ask attendees to get the super handy & fun @inaturalist.bsky.social app on their mobiles (we'll set up a tether for wireless) & if you don't have a device you can report findings to event host Bentley (@bigclimate.bsky.social ). Easy peasy! /2 bsky.app/profile/bigc... #yyc #yycbike #yycnature
@calgaryclimatehub.caThis event is bike-powered by YOU but the #CitizenScience part is made possible by the REALLY AMAZING @inaturalist.bsky.social app, which records & submits your flora and fauna wildlife findings to the good folks @cwf-fcf.bsky.social for their annual #BioBlitz event! 🧵

We’re putting the “citizen” in #CitizenScience. No lab coat required. Bikes strongly encouraged. Nerding out over birds, beasts, bunnies & bugs entirely acceptable!
