Found a stone post with lots of ladybirds on, some of them larval.

#urbanNature

A ladybird larva: a fearsome-looking creature with many spikes on its back, some of them bright orange, but mostly black. It's on a very old, rounded stone surface. An adult ladybird having some kind of interaction with an aphid a couple of millimeters away. It looks like two of the aphid's legs might be touching its mouth.

The ladybird has brown legs and many spots, some of them joined together; it's a harlequin, I think. The aphid's tiny and green.

I took an angry one a bit into the park and back. Didn't get rained on. Light was beautiful. Saw a garden spider having dinner.

Discarded on the forest floor
Leaving unwanted traces
Amongst precious leaves and memories
Someone walked away

The Royal Oak, Richmond Park. Is it the oldest tree in London? Possibly… Maybe… Local lore says so, and it’s a credible looking pretender. Oldest or not, it’s always good to visit this gnarled old survivor.

Moin.

Finally could sleep last night. Early, too. Still taking it slow.

#FirstBirdOfMyDay was the robin defending the plum tree. I don't know from what or whom.

How are you?

I took one to and a little into the park. Got rained on. Enjoyed the cooler breeze. Dogs startled their owners by starting to walk next to me. (I did nothing.)

These fine looking #Robins along the Cuddy burn (Eddleston water) seemed particularly vocal. Males & females singing their hearts out to establish and defend their autumn & winter feeding territories.

Today has become an ambivalent date since hell. It seems I'm getting better at balaning.

Wabi-sabi in the pavement seams. 🌿🪨✨
When one walks, it is recommended that you keep a straight level gaze. But, if you do, you run the risk of missing the cracks.

#MinimalMonday #WabiSabi
#侘寂
#UrbanNature

A vertical minimalist photograph centered on the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, capturing tiny green plants growing through cracks in a weathered gray concrete sidewalk. Bright sunlight rakes across the stone, casting sharp, delicate shadows beside a cluster of clover, small green shoots, and a dry, tangled brown seed stalk. The intersecting fracture lines cut through the textured pavement, contrasting rigid, aging stone with fragile, persistent organic life.
