Hehe 😉 - Seven clearly does rather more for me than she does for you then 😅

I haven’t counted, but I loved her in #TheSwordandtheBrocade, #FlighttoYou & #UnderthePower - & I’ve mostly really liked her here too. #GoAhead is still sitting on my watchlist, so there’s at least one major test left 😂

One of my favorite moments in any drama ever was another Seven Tan drama:

When her husband in #TheSwordAndTheBrocade gave her a signed divorce agreement

He didn’t do it to divorce her, he did it to make their relationship (more) equal. Because she had the agreement, she had the power to

I don’t know if you seen dramas like #TheStoryOfMinglan, #TheSwordAndTheBrocade, etc? This one feels slightly similar in mood to those, meaning there will be some tough times to start with before things improve

But already by the 4th or 5th episodes she’s dealing with trouble competently 👍

It’s really good so far 🙂, but it’s not a light drama

As @tinacmml.bsky.social said, it’s very much in the vein of #TheSwordAndTheBrocade & #TheStoryOfMinglan

There will be pain in the near term, but (I trust!) a big pay-off eventually 👍

#cdrama #AgainstTheCurrent

#LiMeng as Lady Zhao seems more complex & her arc more interesting as thought.
And she's only in mdl as guest 🤔
In summary after ep5 I think writing, atmosphere & cinematography reminds of #TheStoryOfMinglan & #TheSwordAndTheBrocade
So if you liked these I'd give it a try

Starting #cdrama #AgainstTheCurrent 🌸❄️

The visuals of the intro are stunningly beautiful 😍

It reminds me of the cinematography of #TheSwordAndTheBrocade
