All the credit to syublush.
@queenpea54.bsky.socialPlease tell me we haven't seen the last of #LiMeng in #Againstthecurrent because the drama she brought in that scene with the dad DELIVERED!! She really said 'mess with my money, and I will destroy you!' #cdrama
@danisdiary.bsky.socialIn the end, Xingtan was ahead of her time but didn’t have a support system that would help her achieve the independence she dreamed of. Society took her life, piece by piece, day by day, with every disservice to her intelligence and ambitions.

@danisdiary.bsky.socialLet’s be real. Lady Zhao is giving the proof of Jinqi letting the deposed Crown Prince go because Jialan has been the only person in her life to actually help her or show her kindness. In her own twisted way, she’s repaying the favour.
@danisdiary.bsky.socialLady Zhao’s rage was always justified. She never had a fighting chance and she didn’t deserved any of what happened to her. This is such a heartbreaking subplot, it shows how it doesn’t matter if you are born into privilege. The patriarchy still fvcks you over.
@dramaddict.bsky.social36 was the best episode yet, in a drama full of amazing episodes.
Honestly, it’s also a spiritual healing for those of us spurned by the treatment of Princess Wanning in #TheDouble
What an amazing character and phenomenal actress. #LiMeng
@danisdiary.bsky.socialMen and women crushing on Jialan and recognising her true value will never get old.
@queenpea54.bsky.socialOooh I didn't know that #LiMeng who played the delightfully unhinged Princess Wan Ning in #TheDouble is also in #AgainsttheCurrent, playing a remarkably similar character #cdrama. 🤭

@danisdiary.bsky.socialDAMN. The parallels between some of these women’s lives keep coming. As young Lady Zhao enters a fresh new hell, Jialan gains her freedom. I don’t think this will be the last time we will see them cross paths.
@cdramanews.bsky.socialEvery #AgainstTheCurrent promotional event or livestream is #LiMeng behaving like the free spirited younger sister and #LiuXueYi as the older responsible brother trying to control the situation 🤣
@cdramanews.bsky.socialLowkey obsessed with the wordplay of 钱 (money) and 金 (gold) based on handwriting and strokes 金 gold can be seen as the radical for money 钅either way, both point to Zhao Xingtang's scrupulous business of printing money and the reference to 钱小姐 (her lover) too.
@danisdiary.bsky.socialTo be honest, Xing Tang’s rage is justified. Her family refused to educate her, they forced her to have an abortion, so badly done she was left infertile, and then ship her off to marry a man she didn’t know nor love in order to climb the ladder of power.
@danisdiary.bsky.social
@winterwoman112.bsky.socialGive this woman a Golden Rooster, an Emmy, an Oscar, just everything! She literally ate all her scenes!

@cdramanews.bsky.socialThe currently airing cdrama #AgainstTheCurrent got 30.000 heat index popularity on Tencent.

@danisdiary.bsky.socialCousin, you are so damn stupid to think you could get away from this alive.
@danisdiary.bsky.socialJinqi gave Xingtang three options, they all pushed the Zhao family to choose the third one: divorce. He gave her the opportunity to keep her reputation and life, but her “freedom” is an illusion. And, so, the patriarchy screws everyone once more.
