As this weeks ends, remember that change happens when we work together and speak up. From lower drug costs and to fair care, all voices help. Thank you for reading my posts this week and helping make health care fair for every single person!!

Mental health is just as important as body health. But based off an article I read many insurance plans refuse to pay for therapy or care when people need help. Good health care should cover. the mind and the body equally. Everyone deserves help that they need.

Big companies are buying local hospitals and cutting staff down. When money is the only goal health care can get worse for the whole town. Take time to read about how local clinics are changing and why we need to protect them.

Medicine like insulin shouldn’t cost hundreds of dollars when it’s cheap to make. Drug companies make huge profits while regular people skip their doses to save money. That is dangerous. There should be limits on prices so everyone can get what they need to live

It is not just patients who suffer. Nurses and doctors are tired because hospitals cut staff to save money. Having enough nurses keeps patients safe. Taking care of our health workers means talking better care of everyone in the hospital.

People are in debt from hospital bills. No one should lose all their savings just because they got sick or got into an accident. Getting basic care I don’t think should ruin someone’s life. We need fair prices and care so that everyone can afford.

Healthcare should be a right for everyone, not a way for big companies to make money. When money comes before care, sick people get hurt and suffer. We need a system that puts real care for people first.

To prioritize the green movement in our day to day lives we can recycle regularly, buy clothing and goods second hand, and stay up to date on political debates regarding climate change/ environmental issues. I believe our environment is worth fighting for. #SPCH6L2Fall26 #greenmovement

Above I have attached a photo of some green movement activists. As you can see they usually dress in all green and protest in masses and by using signs. Protesting is one of the many ways to get involved in the green movement. #greenmovement #SPCH6L2Fall26

Healthcare prices are skyrocketing. They are estimated to rise 5.4 percent per year. Eventually, these prices become unrealistic for families. Cut healthcare costs; provide universal healthcare. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

Understaffed floors are leading to more deaths. There has been a decrease in nursing employment, and to make up for this, medical staff have been sedating their patients more frequently. Patients deserve genuine care, not shortcuts. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

The green movement shifted environmental strategy toward market driven solutions, including cap-and-trade systems that helped reduce U.S. acid rain by 86% between 1990 and 2015. #greenmovement #SPCH6L2Fall26

About 41% of Americans are in financial hardship because of medical expenses. 80% of those Americans also have health insurance. Insurance doesn’t save lives; universal care does. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

The rising prices of common prescriptions have caused a financial burden. The FDA came out with a new oral medication to treat postpartum depression. As they finalize a price for this pill, they are considering important factors and making the medication affordable. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

Due to the green movement, there have been many animal and recovery wins. Thanks to the bans on pesticide and habitual protection, the bald eagle went from only 400 nesting pairs in 1963 to 10,000 by 2007. #greenmovement #SPCH6L2Fall26

The #greenmovement originated from 19th century transcendentalist roots, then later saw a rise in the 60s and 70s, sparking milestones like Earth Day. Today, the movement is still active and has lead to organized protests and youth-led activism. #SPCH6L2Fall26

Project 2025 makes “junk” insurance plans easier to purchase. This directly increases out-of-pocket costs. This plan works for healthy people, but when an emergency hits, the bills skyrocket. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

Food businesses prioritize profit over health. Industries produce unhealthy processed foods, leading to 19 million deaths annually. Start shopping at your local farmers' market for healthy and fresh food. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

In the US, 20,000 to 45,000 Americans die each year because they cannot afford medical care. Despite its wealth, America has the highest death rates for treatable conditions. Universal Healthcare will save lives, allowing Americans to live longer and healthier lives. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26
