The green movement loves community events and to make ways for the community to help. Recently they did a green miles challenge where they plant a tree every 100,000 community steps walked, people can passively enter and have their steps tracked to make a difference.
To prioritize the green movement in our day to day lives we can recycle regularly, buy clothing and goods second hand, and stay up to date on political debates regarding climate change/ environmental issues. I believe our environment is worth fighting for. #SPCH6L2Fall26 #greenmovement
Above I have attached a photo of some green movement activists. As you can see they usually dress in all green and protest in masses and by using signs. Protesting is one of the many ways to get involved in the green movement. #greenmovement #SPCH6L2Fall26
@jet0912.bsky.socialSolar energy alone supplied 12.8% of the US power grid for an entire month, more electricity than coal. This can mark a shift in US power infrastructure. Go Solar! #GreenMovement#SPCH6VWFall26
@jet0912.bsky.socialAlthough the Iran war has been frankly terrible and unnecessary it has resulted in a loss of about 2% of total Carbon Emissions around the world, a visible silver lining. #GreenMovement#SPCH6VWFall26
@jet0912.bsky.socialOn November 9 of this year the senate will vote on the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act. This act will address how the energy regulation is done in the US, if this passes it will massively help green energy. Lets get this bill passed! #GreenMovement#SPCH6VWFall26
The green movement shifted environmental strategy toward market driven solutions, including cap-and-trade systems that helped reduce U.S. acid rain by 86% between 1990 and 2015. #greenmovement #SPCH6L2Fall26

Day 3
Some of these new goals and ideas that the green movement has include Climate week NYC 2025, Climate week is a week affair that attracts over a hundred thousand participants, to push for redesigning major cities to be better on the environment.
@jet0912.bsky.socialRecently in Europe, solar energy has completely beat out all other energy types. Now taking up 25% of the energy grid solar is showing it's reliability. #GreenMovement#SPCH6VWFall26
@jet0912.bsky.socialAs green energy has become more and more feasible certain countries have almost entirely removed themselves from fossil fuels. Take Denmark for example, of the total energy they produce 92.5% is green. It isn't too late for the US to do the same. #GreenMovement#SPCH6VWFall26
@jet0912.bsky.socialThe prices of green energy has fallen drastically over the years as technology has gotten better, in Europe it has halved in ten years. That does not mean that people are adopting it, however it is progress. #GreenMovement#SPCH6VWFall26
@jet0912.bsky.socialDue to the war in Iran causing rising oil prices, the need for green energy has spiked. Accordingly 33 countries have moved for policies aligning with green energy. Although the fossil fuel shortage has had a negative impact, movement is movement. #GreenMovement#SPCH6VWFall26
Due to the green movement, there have been many animal and recovery wins. Thanks to the bans on pesticide and habitual protection, the bald eagle went from only 400 nesting pairs in 1963 to 10,000 by 2007. #greenmovement #SPCH6L2Fall26

Day 2
Today I learned about how the green movement has recently shifted from trying to change policies, to pushing the idea that the consumers are in power and need to make the change. This is due to some of the previous policies being changed or made less harsh.
The #greenmovement originated from 19th century transcendentalist roots, then later saw a rise in the 60s and 70s, sparking milestones like Earth Day. Today, the movement is still active and has lead to organized protests and youth-led activism. #SPCH6L2Fall26

Textile waste/overproduction of fast fashion is an element of the #greenmovement that is very overlooked. There are many ways we can address this within are communities, people need to take action. It’s time to go to our local thrift stores instead of the mall. #SPCHFall26
The #greenmovement is very important to me. It refers to the worldwide environmental and political effort focused on protecting the natural environment, promoting sustainability, and combating climate change. We should all be focusing more on this movement.

This is my first post of learning about the GreenMovement. I have learned many things today. The green movement grew at around the 1960s, to 1970s. This movement started the first earth day. In 1970 millions of people marched for our first earth day.
