As this weeks ends, remember that change happens when we work together and speak up. From lower drug costs and to fair care, all voices help. Thank you for reading my posts this week and helping make health care fair for every single person!!

Mental health is just as important as body health. But based off an article I read many insurance plans refuse to pay for therapy or care when people need help. Good health care should cover. the mind and the body equally. Everyone deserves help that they need.

Big companies are buying local hospitals and cutting staff down. When money is the only goal health care can get worse for the whole town. Take time to read about how local clinics are changing and why we need to protect them.

Medicine like insulin shouldn’t cost hundreds of dollars when it’s cheap to make. Drug companies make huge profits while regular people skip their doses to save money. That is dangerous. There should be limits on prices so everyone can get what they need to live

It is not just patients who suffer. Nurses and doctors are tired because hospitals cut staff to save money. Having enough nurses keeps patients safe. Taking care of our health workers means talking better care of everyone in the hospital.

Healthcare should be a right for everyone, not a way for big companies to make money. When money comes before care, sick people get hurt and suffer. We need a system that puts real care for people first.

10/4. As I wrap up this week of digital advocacy for #HealthOverProfit, this project has shown me how digital action builds awareness and allows voices from far to come together to make great change. Although the project is over the push for fair accessible healthcare still goes on!

10/3.As a digital activist, i love how digital activism brings people together for causes like #HealthOverProfit. When we bring our voices together, we build the foundation needed to drive systemic healthcare change.

10/1. High prices shouldn’t stop people from getting routine checkups before health issues become emergencies. Health care must be accessible to all.

. 9/30. Today i will be reflecting on the rise of prescription cost. Life saving drugs like insulin shouldn’t be over priced. when it seems like profit matters more than life the system needs to be restructured. We need change!

9/29. In the U.S the leading cause of personal bankruptcy is medical debt. No body should have to choose between treatment that can save life and their savings. The main priority need to be community wellness not corporate gain.

Healthcare prices are skyrocketing. They are estimated to rise 5.4 percent per year. Eventually, these prices become unrealistic for families. Cut healthcare costs; provide universal healthcare. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

Hey everyone! Today 9/28 i’m kickstarting my social media advocacy project for class. This week i’ll be highlighting #HealthOverProfit. Healthcare is a basic human right. Not a machine for profit. I believe everyone deserves affordable care regardless of income.

Wrapping up my week of #HealthOverProfit advocacy: real change starts with public awareness and action. Social media lets us speak out and demand accountability from insurers. Let’s keep pushing for an equitable system where lives come before profits! How will you advocate? #SPCH145advocates

The US doesn't have a healthcare system.
We have a medically themed profit system.
Insurance companies rake profits off the top, along with Pharma and medical device/equipment suppliers.

Understaffed floors are leading to more deaths. There has been a decrease in nursing employment, and to make up for this, medical staff have been sedating their patients more frequently. Patients deserve genuine care, not shortcuts. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

Mental health care IS physical health care, yet insurance makes psychiatric care nearly impossible to afford. Finding in-network providers with open spots shouldn't be hard. Our minds deserve equal care without impossible costs holding us back. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH145advocates

Looking at these statistics from IBI make one thing very clear: financial barriers hurt community health outcomes. When people avoid preventative care due to costs, simple conditions turn into major crises. We need a system that makes care accessible for all!! #HealthOverProfit #SPCH145advocates

@kenziekiscaden.bsky.socialOct 2, 2026, 12:28 PM

About 41% of Americans are in financial hardship because of medical expenses. 80% of those Americans also have health insurance. Insurance doesn’t save lives; universal care does. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26

The rising prices of common prescriptions have caused a financial burden. The FDA came out with a new oral medication to treat postpartum depression. As they finalize a price for this pill, they are considering important factors and making the medication affordable. #HealthOverProfit #SPCH6L2Fall26
