SCX24 diff rebuilds use small C-clips holding the housing halves together, and they love to launch off a fingertip into carpet. Do it over a tray or towel. A lost clip means the diff sits in pieces until a spare arrives. #SCX24 #AxialRC

SCX24 battery tray is thin plastic, easy to crack the tabs by over-tightening the strap. Snug is enough, you don't need to compress the case.
