SCX10's transfer case grease sits exposed near the input shaft, and sand works into it differently than mud. Mud wipes off. Sand stays in and turns it gritty, grinding the mesh slowly. Sandy sessions lately? That's worth its own wipe and regrease. #SCX10 #AxialRC

SCX24 diff rebuilds use small C-clips holding the housing halves together, and they love to launch off a fingertip into carpet. Do it over a tray or towel. A lost clip means the diff sits in pieces until a spare arrives. #SCX24 #AxialRC

SCX10 dogbones are fixed length for stock ride height. Lift the suspension without longer dogbones and they'll pop out of the diff at full droop, usually mid obstacle. Raised your ride height? Check droop travel before blaming the diff. #SCX10 #AxialRC

SCX24 steering servo horn has fine chicken teeth splines, easy to drop back on one tooth off during a rebuild. You get uneven left/right throw before you've touched endpoints. Center the wheels first, then set the horn, not after. #SCX24 #AxialRC

On the SCX24 the chassis rails and battery tray are one plastic piece with no skid under the middle. Belly landings go straight into it. Check the rail around the motor mount screws for hairline cracks. #SCX24 #AxialRC

SCX24's motor sits in a slotted mount, so pinion mesh is wherever the factory left it, usually too tight. Set it with a strip of paper between pinion and spur, snug the screws, pull the paper out. Quieter, less current. #SCX24 #AxialRC

SCX10 shock towers have multiple top mounting holes, and the factory one is laid back, giving the softest effective rate. Squatting and dragging its belly? Move the mount more upright before buying stiffer springs. #SCX10 #AxialRC

SCX24 pinned against a rock, you turn the wheel, nothing happens until it unloads. Not a broken servo. That's the stock one out of torque under load, exactly when you needed it. What to swap it for: https://senditslow.com/guides/scx24-servo-upgrade/ #SCX24 #AxialRC

SCX24's transmission case uses self-tapping screws going into plastic, no metal inserts. Every time you re-torque them you cut a wider hole, and one day a screw just spins forever. Snug by feel, stop when it seats. #SCX24 #AxialRC

SCX10 slipper clutch tension loosens after enough running, robs power on climbs before you notice. Quarter turn check every few sessions.
