The HX Drawbridge (Hackensack Crossing) over the Hackensack River in New Jersey. I love a good counter-weight! Looks like something out of Star Wars...

This type of bridge is technically a heel trunnion bascale (jackknife) railroad bridge. The counter-weight lifts up part of the bridge for boats to pass underneath (hopefully not when a train is on the way).

A view of a multi-span truss railroad bridge constructed in 1936 sits on stone foundations in the Missouri River. This was taken from the Saint Charles County side of the river.
