Also worth noting tonight Macross II was one of the few Macross soundtracks to have an English release.

Y’know… @digiranma.bsky.social
I HATE the Disney streaming price hike but the FACT that I’ve never seen Macross II look THIS good! (Thankfully Animeigo owns the physical media rights)

I LOVE this eyecatch and it’s a nice update to the original Macross TV Series one!

I feel like this OVA Series and #Gundam0080 would be a good double feature given they're both peak 90s Haruhiko Mikimoto!

On the English side since this came out before the whole Harmony Gold Robotech debacle it was initially released by US Renditions but then transferred over to Manga Entertainment. Recently it's streaming by Disney of all companys!

Animation was done by Studio AIC (Oh My Goddess, early Tenchi Muyo, Battle Athletes franchise) with music by Shiro Sagisu (Nadia: Secret of Blue Water, Evangelion, BLEACH) and Haruhiko Mikimoto returns as the character designer!
