"Even without it, you like me, are a life form that is neither human nor Boomer, but superior to both."
Yeeeah...OVA Series...introduces concepts that only get elaborated on IF there is supplementary material.

Basically the ones produced closer to the window of "The Final Chapter" movie reflect the post-TV style and look more polished while the later OVAs were actually produced while Ranma 1/2 was on TV and you can tell the quality shift.

Hey @digiranma.bsky.social I did want to let you know that what's going on with Bubblegum franchise we'll experience with the UY OVAs. Unlike the Ranma 1/2 OVA series the UY OVAs reflect more of the current OVA/ONA market.

"Just because you're different doesn't mean I have to like you."
Ohhhhhhhh, the HUGE discussion and deep dives that could be made about Priss' biases here!

"She should consider her your friend."
I'm sorry but when you get THAT in my personal space I'm gonna think something else.

I LOVE how Priss hates Boomers but gets in a situation where she has to protect a Boomer that is giving off major Number 5 vibes!

"The AI needs more training..."

Coming off of Crisis you can TELL there's a budget drop. It's not quite as drastic as when Ranma 1/2 Season 1 went to Nettouhen but still...

Did Leon get a new police chief?!
(Although I can GUESS the reasons the other guy was replaced and probably similar to how Brock left during Pokemon's Orange Islands due to a PC concern)

I WAS gonna watch the UK dub but changed my mind when I saw the songs weren't dubbed in that version and the US dub has closed caption subs!

Equipped with even bigger and badder hardsuits, the Knight Sabers now find themselves in a conflict seemingly orchestrated by a voice from the past!

The OVA that CRASHED the franchise before its 2040 incarnation!

Also worth noting tonight Macross II was one of the few Macross soundtracks to have an English release.

Y’know… @digiranma.bsky.social
I HATE the Disney streaming price hike but the FACT that I’ve never seen Macross II look THIS good! (Thankfully Animeigo owns the physical media rights)

I LOVE this eyecatch and it’s a nice update to the original Macross TV Series one!
