Interior of the abandoned former Alitalia headquarters in the Magliana district of Rome, showing a long elevated corridor equipped with parallel moving walkways extending toward a distant vanishing point. The composition is strongly symmetrical, with the twin conveyor belts running through the center of the image and emphasizing the scale and linearity of the structure.
On the right, a curved wall of large panoramic windows forms a tunnel-like enclosure, flooding the corridor with bright natural light. On the left, a continuous row of rectangular windows runs the length of the passage. The ceiling is composed of exposed black metal beams and suspended fluorescent light fixtures, many still in place despite the building's abandonment.
The moving walkways are no longer operational and are littered with shattered glass, cables, and debris. Metal crossbars have been installed across the belts, while broken panels and exposed wiring reveal the progressive deterioration of the infrastructure. Cylindrical support columns punctuate the corridor at regular intervals, reinforcing the strong perspective effect.
The contrast between the modern architectural design, originally intended to manage large flows of passengers and staff, and its current state of abandonment creates a striking image of decay within a once-prominent corporate complex.

Interior of the abandoned Olcese Veneziano cotton mill in Novara, photographed from within a dark production hall facing a large industrial steel-framed window. The window spans almost the entire width of the image, its grid of metal mullions creating a strong geometric pattern against the light outside. Many panes are dirty, cracked, or partially opaque, bearing the marks of decades of neglect.
Beyond the glass, a tree covered in bright golden-yellow autumn leaves stands out vividly against the muted industrial surroundings. The foliage is illuminated by natural daylight, creating a striking contrast with the shadowed factory interior. Behind the tree, the pale facade of another factory building is visible, reinforcing the scale of the former industrial complex.
Inside the hall, the floor and structural elements remain largely in darkness, with only faint outlines of pillars and industrial architecture discernible. The strong contrast between the dim interior and the glowing autumn colors outside emphasizes the passage of time and the gradual return of nature to the abandoned site.
The image highlights the relationship between industrial decay and seasonal renewal, framed through one of the factory's large windows.

A detailed interior photograph of an abandoned, severely decayed laboratory inside IPCA in Ciriè. The central wall features a massive, wooden built-in cabinet system with several sections. The left section, a former fume hood, has glass panes, some missing or obscured by dirt, revealing empty shelves within. The right section has several smaller, broken wooden window-like frames at the top, mostly empty, and below them, closed or damaged wooden roller blinds and a larger open space. The wall surfaces are heavily distressed, with paint peeling to reveal grey plaster beneath, especially on the right, and areas of missing plaster exposing the grey structural blockwork. On the floor in the immediate foreground is a large pile of fragmented bricks and rubble within a concrete border. Debris, dust, and discarded elements are scattered throughout the room. To the left, a doorway leads into a further derelict room with visible stair-like rubble. Sunlight streams from windows on the right wall and through the central cabinetry, casting sharp shadows.

In the foreground, a cluster of bright green ferns and moss grows directly through a floor covered with rubble, broken bricks, and industrial debris, creating a vivid contrast with the abandoned factory surrounding them.
The background reveals a vast industrial hall supported by rows of tall concrete columns that fade into shadow. Former machinery bases and low concrete structures remain visible, while the walls and ceiling show extensive signs of decay, with dark stains, peeling surfaces, and widespread deterioration. Natural light enters through openings on the right side of the building, illuminating sections of the hall and creating a contrast between the sharp, vibrant vegetation in the foreground and the softly blurred industrial architecture behind it.
The image emphasizes the gradual reclaiming of the former cotton mill by nature, highlighting the coexistence of industrial ruin and new plant growth within the abandoned production space.

The cavernous space, bathed in natural light from large multi-paned windows on the left, features massive, grey industrial machinery and electrical control panels. The view is dominated by two large, cylindrical turbines, including a prominently labeled 'BROWN BOVERI MILANO' steam turbine in the left foreground. Behind the foreground machinery, a second large grey machine sits on a metal grating floor. In the center distance, a raised, glass-fronted observation or control room booth sits on concrete supports. Along the right wall, a long, vertical electrical control panel is covered with a grid of dials, circular gauges, rectangular displays, switches, and a few rotary knobs. The upper panels have clear Italian text, including "PROTEZ. E REGOLA.", "ECCITATORE", "GENERATORE", and a grid of square outlines with small labels. The space is dusty, with peeling paint on the high walls and debris scattered on the floor.

Archive room inside an abandoned SNIA textile factory, showing metal shelving units still filled with office records, ring binders, folders, and stacks of documents left behind after the site's closure. The shelves are overloaded and partially collapsed in the middle, where a large pile of rusted binders leans precariously outward, creating a striking visual focal point.
Many of the binders remain labeled and organized by color, with blue, green, red, white, and black spines visible along the upper shelves, while loose papers and files spill from lower compartments. The room bears clear signs of long-term neglect: the wall behind the shelving is stained by moisture and covered with patches of green mold and algae, while dust and dirt have accumulated on documents and furniture.
On the right, a large frosted industrial window filters warm natural light into the room, softly illuminating the archive and highlighting the textures of rusted metal, aging paper, and deteriorated plaster. The muted palette of gray, beige, green, and brown reinforces the atmosphere of abandonment.
The image preserves a rare glimpse of the administrative memory of a former textile plant, where decades of records and paperwork remain stored in place despite years of decay and disuse.
