#JoeHill was born #JoelEmmanuelHägglund in Gävle, #Sweden, on #ThisDayInHistory in 1879. On migrating to the US in 1902 he became a songwriter for the #IndustrialWorkersOfTheWorld, penning many of the #IWW's most famous revolutionary #union songs. He was martyred by Utah in 1915.

This is one of the infinite number of reasons that we need #unions. Join the #IndustrialWorkersOfTheWorld #IWW & #DemocraticSocialiatsOfAmerica #DSA today to fight the good fight.
