I had a blast at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival! Caught 3 feature films, did two panels, saw Soriah perform, hung out with old friends, sent a bunch of art off to new homes, and basically did my part to Keep Portland Weird! #HPLFF

Photo of a black tunic-clad woman in front of the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival step and repeat backdrop. Her tunic grey floral embrodery around the neck and arms, and two skeletal dogs howling upwards at the bottom. She is wearing a mask that looks like a stained glass window that completely obscures her face. The mask is topped with a black veil. She's flashing the peace sign and looking cute?

Living my best weird life at the longest running horror film festival in the US. #hplff

A woman in a black and grey tunic with embroidered flowers and animal skulls stands before a step and repeat with open arms. She wears a face obscuring mask like a stained glass window with a black veil. The HP Lovecraft Film Festival logo behind her head looks like s tentacled halo.

Last night at H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival a figure in yellow was spotted lurking on the rooftop across the street from Hollywood Theatre. We could sort of see them from the vendors room, but a tree was in the way. Today we confirmed it wasn’t just our imagination. King in Yellow confirmed! #hplff

Photo of a planet fitness across a wide busy street. A yellow hooded and robed figure is standing in the rooftop parking lot.Closeup of the ominous King in Yellow on a sunny Portland day.

Lurking at the 31st annual H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival. Tonight through Sunday at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, Oregon! I have a full array of woodcut art in the upper lobby! #hplff

A pale skinned woman in glasses and a black bowler hat peeks into the bottom of the frame. The HP Lovecraft Film festival marquee looms behind her.

Have you seen the Yellow Sign? #hplff #carcosa

A masked figure with no facial features in a lace dress and black veil stands in a corner next to a banner gesturing to it, or maybe inviting you to descend. The photo is taken from a few feet above the figure, implying a stairwell. The walls are cinder blocks, floor concrete, and the space lit with red light. Do you really want to enter this subterranean space?

I'll be a vendor and panelist at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon October 2-4th! My table will be in middle of the upstairs lobby with a large selection of original woodcut art as well as reproductions, cards, bookmarks, and other weirdness! #art #woodcut #hplff

A hand-colored woodcut print reproduced on maple wood veneer. The art resembles 16th century woodcut illustration, but depicts Cthulhu, a character created by H.P. Lovecraft. This hybrid humanoid sits cross-legged upon a black rock jutting out of the sea. One crab-like arm points to the stars, and the other down to a city emerging from the waves. It has dark batlike wings spread behind it. Above the figure are the latin words R'lyeh exsurgebit ubi astra parata sunt. .A black ink woodcut print on cream colored paper. A simple black line frames a vertical rectangular scene of a blobby humanoid perched on a mound. It has no eyes and the mouth ends in tentacles. It plays a flute with stubby fingers. A black crescent moon is in the upper right and bog plants including a Sarracenia pitcher plant grow below its clawed feet.A monstrous figure fills a black background. This woodcut print has been hand-colored in a rainbow of hues, from red at the top, to purple below. Depicted is a creature with a sharp tooth filled grimace, tentacle limbs, a long thin tail, and fins like wings containing numerous eyes. A black woodcut reproduced on maple wood veneer. A simple black line encompasses a scene of a monstrous giant dancing inside a ring of black stones. The giant holds a key in one hand and gestures to a doorway in the cloud with the other. It has a scaled chest, tentacled hips with two crude eyes, furry legs, and sauropod feet. Two tiny humans gesture in the corners near bonfires, and birds fill the sky.
