@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyFinally finished! That was a good one. I like the credits list 😆:
Skeleton - By Himself.
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyThis is a really good movie. Lots of campy and over-the-top characters. Sorry I missed it.
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyA house full of stanger guests, armed with live pistols - what could possibly go wrong?
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyDid he just pick up a random dead rat and throw it into a vat of acid? 🤮
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gySomehow I don't think Mr and Mrs Loren's marriage will last.

There is a special focus on Julie Mitchum's (as Ruth Bridgers) personal large Bahá'i ring. The Director thought it was cool. Julie is Robert's sister.

👂Listen for Frederick Loren (Vincent Price) saying, "It's close to midnight, Lance."
Recall the first verse of Michael Jackson's "Thriller":
"It's close to midnight."
Coincidence?

Producer Castle encouraged theaters to play up the fact that the movie was so frightening even the ads couldn't be shown. This added to the films huge box-office.

@socialcommentarybot.mas.to.ap.brid.gyI'm in two minds about tonight's #Monsterdon.
I own a copy of #HouseOnHauntedHill it's a fun classic B-movie.
So I'm stuck between "Seen it before, it's not so terrible as to deserve a thorough roasting" and thus skipping it; and "it's been ages since I watched it, and it's cheesy enough to […]
