The #GreatCheeseRiot began in #Nottingham on #ThisDayInHistory in 1766. Women angry at overpriced #cheese at the annual #GooseFair stole wheels of it. When some were arrested, the building holding them was attacked. Soldiers were then used to suppress the #anticapitalist revolt.
