He did it!

A huge congratulations to Tom Brown, who completed the Great North Run raising money for Weston Park Cancer Charity.

Tom has raised an incredible £630 so far, there’s still time to support:

2:00:06 in the heat today made me very pleased!

A second Great North Run officially ticked off and means another 2:13 taken off the PB. 😄

It is so weird that I am able to walk normally even after running all those miles. Clearly doing something right because previously, I'd always feel like I'd already reached my elderly years. 😅 #GNR2026 #GNR45 #GreatNorthRun

That was such a hard Great North Run with the sun today but I have completed it in 02:26:43. Congratulations to everyone else that completed it and the link to my fundraiser is ajbellgreatnorthrun2026.enthuse.com/pf/laurence-... #GNR2026 #GNR45 #GreatNorthRun

Well today is the day, good luck to everyone else taking part. #GNR2026 #GNR45 #GreatNorthRun

I quite fancy a 13.1 miler from Newcastle to South Shields today… 😜

Here’s to it! 🥳

Hello from the Toon, ahead of tomorrow’s well known event! 😜

Jesmond Dene done in 29:15, which was a good 53 seconds slower than last year’s shakeout and thus makes me pleased.
