The #CGT (#FrenchLine) ship proved highly popular, and was called the "#Versailles of the Atlantic" in reference to her rich #BaroqueRevival styling. She served until 1936.

Originally a #FourStacker, she was rebuilt in 1937 with a raked bow and two funnels, Arundel Castle had a long career on the #SouthAfrica mail run, and was only scrapped in 1959.
