Waking to rain
Out of window
Soaked again
A dreary sky
Then a wet fly
Flew in
Around my room
It began to zoom
Then back to sit
On white paint cill
As I watched it
Carefully that bug
Spread its wings
To dry in the warm
Then without alarm
Placed them together snug
Preparing to #flit

I must flit

or I'll fall flat

said the baby bird

(and I)

A few steps away
From a farrago
Of misinformation,
In a pollen and verdant
Sylvan fusion,
Exists a serene
Melange
Thriving in
Oblivious bliss;
Butterflies #Flit in
Rain clean air,
A thousand flutters from
A world orchestrating
Its own
Destruction and despair.

Bees #flit
from flower to flower
all covered
with yellow powder

hummingbirds flit
from blossom to blossom
never stopping
their speed is awesome

butterflies flit
from grass to tree
content for the wind
to let them be

Hummingbird and bee
Flit from flower to flower
Nectar their reward

Have you been affected by life
endlessly needing to flit, while
simultaneously being told
the answer is to learn to sit
There is no number to call
for this situation,at all

#Flit do I in Tokyo, a harmless butterfly?

Or does chaos reign in New York, a panic in Versailles?

Suspect it not, suspect it all, connected everywhere and to you

Certain be, o certainly, survivors of the butterfly are few

Flit for flap, sparrows
Battle tits in the bushes
For territory.

It was long ago
Even longer this fragile week
With doors closed
I walked a long tree tunnel
In the sun
Birds sang, you held my hand
A single butterfly went flit flit flit
Led the way
I wish those days to come again
