Yes they do, yes they f*cking do, and they know it, and clearly don't care
5,830 children in emergency accommodation provide more than enough evidence for that
Politicians make people homeless

I never thought I'd be saying those words
So here I go again ... we're in album of the week
And its brilliant
Thanks Meryl Streek for all you do, for standing up & speaking out on issues of the day, for being such a brilliant punk artist & for your ongoing support of #DerelictIreland & ffud.art
The transformation of Dublin Docklands and beyond.
This 1955 aerial photograph, taken by Alexander Campbell Morgan, that I have colourised and annotated in red to highlight buildings later demolished.

I chatted to Fran Curry on Tipp Today, Tipp FM about our concerns with ridiculously slow progress by the Government in tackling vacancy & dereliction
Delays, announcements, delays, announcements ..
We want progress

"policy shortcomings that have allowed vacancy and dereliction to become normalised in the country over the years."
I chatted to journalist Aoife Sheehan, Tipperary Live, about all things #DerelictIreland
"Tipperary dereliction: it doesn't have to be this way"

Fair play Spain
But how bad does it need to get in Ireland before those with a home stand up, speak up, get out & protest for those who don't?
Is close to 6,000 children in emergency accommodation not enough suffering?
Or what is the 'magic number' 😢

Yep, designing to fail and an unwillingness to enforce the law, no transparency, no accountability

The destruction of Phibsborough's built heritage since 1956.
I’ve colourised the image and annotated it in red to highlight buildings and structures that were later demolished.

Empty heritage buildings. Record homelessness. What are we waiting for at Collins Barracks?
In my visualisation, the red blocks represent derelict and vacant sites around Dublin City.

I’m delighted that my interview with The Southern Star has been published, and hopefully they'll convert this derelict building into a cultural centre for people to enjoy.🤞🗞️

Even though me & @judesherry.bsky.social walk the city all the time I am particularly excited about keeping to this particular route, 70 of the 700 derelict we found in our study were on this route, lets see what comes out today, 5 years on ...
Time for me & @judesherry.bsky.social to go for a walk
5 yrs ago today we held Worlds 1st ever dereliction walking festival in Cork City, Ireland, in cooperation with CATU

Vacant for over a decade, this c. 1810 two-storey stone warehouse on Henrietta Place, Dublin 1, is one of the city’s hidden gems. In the late 1990s, the building housed the Transylvania Restaurant before it closed a few years later.
Me & @judesherry.bsky.social are delighted to have Philip Denvir's award winning film "Crossing Over Barrack Street" (words by Jennifer Horgan) which focuses on our #DerelictIreland & ffud.art work being shown at Louth International Film Festival this weekend
Once our heritage is gone, it is gone forever.
It’s a shame to see Collooney Mills in such a ruinous state. The mill is a protected c.1830 industrial complex beside the Owenmore River in Collooney, County Sligo.

Reuse beats ruin: Prospect Square terraces set for a comeback. 🥳
These three terraced buildings beside The Grave Diggers Pub in Prospect Square, Glasnevin, Dublin 9, have been derelict and vacant for years, but will return to residential use.
