Empty heritage buildings. Record homelessness. What are we waiting for at Collins Barracks?

In my visualisation, the red blocks represent derelict and vacant sites around Dublin City.

The former St John the Baptist Church in Aconbury, Herefordshire, is a Grade II* listed medieval church with 13th-century origins. Look closely at its 15th-century timber-framed porch and you’ll find wonderfully carved angels supporting the roof. #Heritage #BuiltHeritage #ChurchArchitecture

The Grade II* Midland Hotel, Morecambe, is one of Britain’s finest examples of Streamline Moderne architecture. HB&P supports repair and restoration but has raised concerns about proposed changes to its historic interiors.

Blake’s Corner, Ennistymon, Co. Clare: two c.1830 protected houses with historic shopfronts, vacant for years, now caught in a road-traffic black spot and soon to be demolished.

Once our heritage is gone, it's gone forever.

So sad to see this demolition of the beautiful three-storey former corn warehouse, built c.1800 and listed on the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage.
