A little late for #FindsFriday but I’ve finally started working through this year’s artefacts from #CerneAbbey
At 22mm it's tiny but this fragment of Anglo-Saxon window glass is not only unusual but also really important for our interpretation of the site

Wow! There's a late Anglo-Saxon bear claw bone from #Eynsham abbey, probably from a bearskin. I've never thought of Aelfric and bears together before. Bearskins and the Benedictine Reform Movement... Here's a challenge for #cerneabbey excavations @hugh-willmott.co.uk.
