For #Arachtober the 4th, a large fishing spider on a wall above a shallow pool at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum west of Tucson, Arizona, USA. Poor thing is missing two legs, but is a mom(see baby in lower right. #bugsky #bugwatching #spiders #arachids

Didn't think I'd find a Flower Crab Spider for #fatspiderfortnight, but there was a small female on one of the anemones. Going to have a hunt for some of the other species in the project today... #wildlifefrommywindow #arachids #invertebrates

These are the dominant feature of the spider that is visible, other than its face, as it hides waiting to catch an insect.
