#GenHour Also this week:
This may be entirely *un-connected (Dave posted a correction later) to Dave's research, but I immediately saw that this newspaper story was from one of my study places, so I had to run off and find the newspaper. It's sitting in my to-read pile now.
#GenHour Sometimes you can find clues for the direct line from those other lines, too. Win-win!
Digging into collateral lines is extra satisfying after focusing on direct for so long. New names! New places! New occupations!
#GenHour In case you missed this yesterday.
This is exciting news!
Reposting for #GenHour.
Today is also 2x Kindle points day for the USA.
#GenHour Australia and New Zealand begin springing forward on Sep 27 and they have a patchwork of "spring forward" dates and locations as well.
#GenHour It's that time again! It's almost October, when the Northern Hemisphere falls back to Standard time. (The US doesn't change until November 1!)
I wish we could go back to Standard Time forever and forget all this nonsense.
#GenHour This weekend I reviewed historical newspapers for my husband's parents, and did some new searches, and "discovered" all sorts of information that I had forgotten about.
You miss the good stuff when you collect in a hurry, and hand off the transcribing task to the computer. #genealogy
#GenHour New Maine business directories at Ancestry?
I need to check that out.

Hello #GenHour friends! How is your #genealogy research going this week?
I am having computer problems today, but I hope I can get things settled so I can explore the new version of Evidentia.
Hi #GenHour! Join us for late opening on Thursday 1 October.
Research Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire, explore our library collections and stay until 7pm. Plus upcoming talks on death and burial, Huguenot heritage and Black History Month with WandaWyporska.
I'm working on my Notion templates today. I hope to have them ready for purchase at some point. If people prefer this type of note system for recording their genealogy research, then I would like to hear your thoughts. #Genealogy #Ancestry #GenHour
#AncestryHour Thanks all for chatting! See you next week, or on Thursday for #GenHour!
