#devtober day 3, terrain drops
Quest has a lot of sheer faces for its world geometry, which do not play nicely with unity's "ice cream" terrain. Started integrating @_staggart_ 's nice spine mesher + edge fusion + my terrain alpha brush as a solution, but up close needs tuning.
Very (and I mean VERY) small update for day 3 of #devtober: I changed the sky colors on this billboard since I feel it looks nicer lol
When the grapple can't decide, hit them with your head!
Thumbs will hurt in #THUMBLEMANIA! (either yours or ingame) 🤜🤛💥

Day 3, fixed audio and textures. Next up... The logic engine!
I plan to tackle down gameplay elements first. Once I get a working skeleton, I'll start making the "game" and all of its related art.
Day 2: Can you guess what caused this to happen? Will fix this tomorrow.
Day 3 of #Devtober was pretty short on dev work, just a bit of wrap-up for GDoC Expo: bsky.app/profile/kame...
#devtober day 2, foot ik sinking
Added a small sink range for Brian's model to help align him with the terrain. I was always bugged whenever he moved around a slope and had a visible gap between his shoes and the ground, since his stubby legs couldn't snap at that distance etc.
For day 2 of #devtober here's some concept art I drew of a turtle enemy, along with an updated sprite for him
Day 2, finally got something on screen. This has taken me an embarrassing amount of time to make. I usually don't make browser applications, so it is an exotic experience to me.
So far I only have a white bouncing square...
Tomorrow I'll try to work on drawing images and playing sounds.
Day 2 of #devtober finished - the existing inventory component needed to make space for a "actionbar-only-inventory" approach. Simplified actionbar UI implemented and working.
Wiring up UI in their giving context is so nice, thanks to the approach by
@hoveringskull.bsky.social
Day 1: Decided to not implement some stuff that would make the game boring such as a jetpack fuel limit (would take away attention from killing aliens) or laser travel speed (since light travels at the speed of yes).
Don't forget to tag with #Devtober as well! Excited to see what you work on this month!
