Pleased to connect with this juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper at Bishop Middleham, the first at this inland site for five years and No125 on my patch year list #PWC2026

Lots of late broods of Swallows making the most of the calm conditions on Tiree just now #BirdingScotland #PWC2026

It’s been slow passerine-wise but seawatching at least produced Great, Sooty and Manx shearwaters all NFY. Good numbers of Golden and Ringed Plovers coming through but little else wader-wise and rains keep ensuring I have no freshwater margins 😕 First Aurora of the autumn #WestrayBirding #PWC2026

A really good morning on my Morton Bagot patch: 5 Spotted Flycatchers, Tree Pipit, 2 Redstarts, 2 Whinchats, first Meadow Pipit of the autumn, Lesser Whitethroat, and three Stonechats. #PWC2026. What a shame the #WestMidsAllDayer can't be the West Midlands All Weekender!

Isn't patch watching brilliant. Tufted Duck isn't annual for me at Whitby on my #PWC2026 10km from home patch so after a tip off yesterday, a major twitch was on. A 3 mile walk for only 1 point but it was we'll worth it. @whitbynats.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

Hill Head: trickle of Yellow Wagtails, Meadow Pipits & hirundines overhead + single Tree Pipit call heard. Also small flock of Terns, 2 Eider offshore, and brief check of boardwalk on reserve yielded Blackcaps & Willow Warblers. Ooh, and this boat... #LowCarbonBirding #PWC2026

Wonky photo that looks like the Isle of Wight is sinking or very sloped to the east. In front of it is a black and white steam boat with red funnels. There is a small white sailing boat. It is sunny with clear skies
