@tomrees.eurosky.socialCurrent #compost bin status: overgrown. #allotment #allotmentlife
@mulbartonbirder.bsky.socialDid some preserving with some homegrown produce yesterday; red gooseberry jam, tomato/red onion chutney and beetroot/white onion/apple chutney. That will see us through the winter #growyourown #allotmentlife #gardening
@freedomtodoubt.bsky.socialFence empty of birds today, black-eyes hanging around in Cherry tree instead.
The joy of flocks of House sparrows skimming across my head, two males coming to rest in neighbour's Buddleia 'Sungold'.
Common Blue male, badly captured, rested ever so briefly on Knapweed seed head.

@jab-1958.bsky.socialHard life being an allotment cat 😂
@danieldarwood.bsky.socialSaturday tea. Allotment sweetcorn tasted great! Dando's not Nando's...

@windygarden22.bsky.socialGosh, the snails really have been chomping away at the chinese cabbage. Savoy cabbage, pak choi and turnip are barely touched ( or just had a light nibble). Maybe I should not plant cc as food but as 'distractor' #gardening #allotmentlife
@windygarden22.bsky.socialLooks like summer is over. But every drop helps #gardening #allotmentlife
@emilytomshep.bsky.socialTomorrow! #Hatfield #Allotmentlife 🇬🇧🌱
@freedomtodoubt.bsky.socialThe Autumn colours were especially sharp today as was the bird song.
Pure joy.

@thisislou.bsky.socialStanding back and spotting this rainbow at the plot was magical 🌈 #allotmentlife
@mstblue.bsky.socialDid the same Tuesday night! Tomatoes (garden and allotment), cucumber, beetroot, carrot, onion, all home grown. 😋 #AllotmentLife
@danieldarwood.bsky.socialLook at the size of this comfrey leaf!
@vegplotter.comEmpty beds? Now's the perfect time to plan your crop rotation! Map out what you grew this year and decide where each vegetable family will go next season to keep soil healthy and productive. 🌱
Let us do the hard work for you!
@danieldarwood.bsky.socialMade some roasted tomato sauce with some of yesterday's harvest. Smells great!
