Wood effects are go! A few random planks picked out in varied colours, then the whole thing dry brushed in a lightened version of the base colour. Finished with a wash of burnt umber oil paint to pick out the grain and the joints. #histscalemodels #trireme #ancientgreece

Some paint on the Puma. Going to let it dry a bit before I do some chipping. Not keen on leaving the paint to harden off too much. All the bits that can ping off will go on at the end. #histscalemodels

A lull in other duties allowed time for getting Olive Drab on the Meng Char 2C. I used Humbrol and Tamiya rattle cans. They are different shades! The tracks already need remedial work, but it will get sorted. I may get more done by the weekend. #histscalemodels

Unusual 2 sets of tyres, only calls for 2 of each sprue on instructions. Seems to be derived from Monogram Testarossa as chassis has 1987 date on it

Hey, #histscalemodels! Have I been hard at work on the on-going group build? No. But have I been working on the M60 currently half finished on the bench? Also no. What I -have- been doing is playing with this HobbyBoss BMD-2 for reasons that escape even me. S'fun tho.

Intrepid is done except antenna, final weathering and air group. Starfighter decals have been crucial - kit is missing island markings and none of the hull numbers are shadowed. #histscalemodels

I don't have much experience with short runs, but I expected worse. Lot of sanding and cutting, but it is not as bad as old kopro. So far I am dry fitting and sorting out confused part numbers in the guide. T'was making me to use part of landing gear as control column 😀 #histscalemodels #ItaliaGB
