Ramalama-ding-dong! I've given the bronze a wash with a gree-blue oil paint mixture for that patina effect. #histscalemodels #trireme #ancientgreece

Wood effects are go! A few random planks picked out in varied colours, then the whole thing dry brushed in a lightened version of the base colour. Finished with a wash of burnt umber oil paint to pick out the grain and the joints. #histscalemodels #trireme #ancientgreece

Finally! After posing all the rowers, cleaning up all the oars (sooo many oars!) I've started the painting. A very nice all-over undercoat of Vallejo Air Colour Wood as a starting point, now detailing can begin..... #histscalemodels #trireme #ancientgreece
