@ladykdesigns.bsky.socialHere for #TheNoirCollective live watch pre-show of #TheLostWeekend hosted by @tommykrasker.bsky.social and @ctmillion.bsky.social for some delicious #Noircheology!
@vanstanwyck.bsky.socialOoh, maybe he was an evil twin autograph seeker!
#TheLostWeekend #TheNoirCollective
@vanstanwyck.bsky.socialI'm gathering the through-line in all of these hilarious musical interludes is that while they star actors we've recently seen in noirs, the performances themselves are about as far from noir as you could possibly find. 🤣
@stephaniemorrison.bsky.socialWait, wait a minute, is JOHN PAYNE in #TheLostWeekend? #NoirCollective
@celluloidsoul.bsky.socialPre-pre-show fun: take a close look at this autograph that shows Ray Milland to be quite cheeky... bet that got a chuckle! #TheLostWeekend #TheNoirCollective
@vanstanwyck.bsky.socialOh. My. God. I mean, it says a lot that even in that sweater John Payne can still get it.
@tommykrasker.bsky.social15 MINUTES to #TheLostWeekend PRE-SHOW. As CT and I busily prepare our notes, thanks to all the movie stars from recent #TheNoirCollective watch parties for doing the warm up.
Why are we even *doing* a warm up? It’s a long story, but suffice to say, I know why, and so does John Payne.
@vanstanwyck.bsky.social😆 She looks about as comfortable as I did when my parents tried (and failed) to teach me Heart & Soul when I was 10.
@vanstanwyck.bsky.socialYes, exactly. The only difference between the pre-show posts and the live watch party posts is that the latter accompany the movie while the pre-show posts go up before it starts. 👍
@vanstanwyck.bsky.socialThat makes so much sense. Artists and lost weekends go hand in glove.
@vanstanwyck.bsky.socialI put absolutely nothing past the co-hosting team of @tommykrasker.bsky.social and @ctmillion.bsky.social . Between the pre-pre show, the pre-show and the show show, it's going to be mind-expanding to Scanners-like levels of danger.
#TheLostWeekend #TheNoirCollective
@vanstanwyck.bsky.socialOkay so not only do we get a masterful #Noircheology pre-show at 7:30, but @tommykrasker.bsky.social and @ctmillion.bsky.social have put together a whole Footlight Parade to usher it in?! I can say with confidence that nobody has ever seen #TheLostWeekend this way since it was released 81 years ago.
@celluloidsoul.bsky.socialI'M SO EXCITED!!!
#TheLostWeekend
#TheNoirCollective
@ctmillion.bsky.socialHey buddy, c'mere...ya wanna hear a schtory? This Wed, I'm co-hosting #TheNoirCollective watch of #TheLostWeekend, with a special focus on the cinematography (see what I did there?) AND there's even a pre-show exploring the origins of #Noir! WED 10/7, 8PM ET/5PM PT, pre-show 7:30ET/4:30PT #TCMParty

@vanstanwyck.bsky.social#TheNoirCollective, aka the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Canada's #NoirAlley fans, has posted a copy of #Loophole to our IA account: archive.org/details/loop....
Unlike the absolute banger of #TheLostWeekend we'll be hosting Wednesday, the res isn't great, but it's better than YT's. ❤️
@celluloidsoul.bsky.social
@tommykrasker.bsky.social“Boozenoir“ is so much more clever yet elegant than anything I’ve come up with to say about the film since we first started working on it. Dammit. #TheNoirCollective #TheLostWeekend
