After reading TMITM last week I feel like I have subconsciously been using social media less. My friends have been making references that usually I would immediately get, but haven't been recently. I've noticed I feel less inclined to even get on social media anymore. #hwa2 #somethingishappening

The amount of times my friends have told me that I don't respond to the things they send me. But every time it is this exact cycle, I go on the app with the intent to respond but it is so easy to get distracted. The funny thing is that my friends do the same thing to me too. #hwa2 #mediafunhouse

Amateurs also unintentionally build anti-environments, using whatever resources they have available to share and express themselves. And that is why I would want to be an amateur, I want to be thought as someone who thinks outside the box and asks the important questions. #hwa2 #amateurvsexpert

Such as a TikTok video that exposes the algorithm, or turning the color off on your phone, or seeing a messy room in a feed of luxury. Anti environments make us question what we deem as "normal." They make us question what invisible rules are we following just to "fit in." #hwa2 #antienvironmental

An anti environment to expose it, would be putting myself in public spaces where I usually would want to wear them and I wouldn't wear them. For example on the bus, or the library, or just walking to class. I would have to allow myself to be present and hear everything around me. #hwa2 #normalmedium

By that you meant to notice the literal surroundings that we put ourselves in. Because when you go swimming you notice plants or fish in the water, which represents the content. But McLuhan wants us to notice the water itself, which is the medium the content is provided through. #hwa2 #thewater
