This is a gown I revisit every so often for its outrageously rich colour & extravagant silhouette. The early 1830s ballooning sleeve is a divisive detail, some people love it, others not so much. I really like this. Lovely colour, and the short, high-cut jacket looks really cool, especially sitting on top of that broad waist band. The skirt has a really nice flow to it too.

was this 1965-1970 Bonnie Cashin coat that was used in their promo image. It was from her time at Sills & Co, of which she was the head designer from 1953 to 1977. The bright contrasting colored wool fabric is emblematic of her style and brand. #Fashionhistory
