Did you know a handful of fragments of the 1890 US Federal Census survived the fire? If you're doing a place study in any of these districts, you'll want to take a look.

The D.C. survivors might make a great #StreetStudy!

#Sudbourne school taught the ‘Tonic Sol-Fa’ singing system which uses 7 basic sounds: do/doh, re, mi, fa, sol (or so), la, and ti.
The method originated with Sarah Anna Glover of Norwich, England, in the early 19th century & was further adapted by English minister John Curwen.

This building on Dam Street, Lichfield was the offices for Coal Merchant in the Edwardian decade. The depot was at the city station wharf, now flats. I was able to take photographs before its redevelopment .
The advert is from a directory issued annually for the city.

Wonersh One-Place Study.
Image: A colour photo of an old, half-timbered building (the Grantley Arms in Wonersh), two storeys tall (with an attic window in the gable end that is visible) and of three bays. The gable end of the building faces onto a street, while the longer frontage, with the main entrance, faces onto an open courtyard.
