Today's dino is Cryptarcus, the late Cretaceous ceratopsid found in Alberta. It's name means hidden arch, because it was considered a species of Chasmosaurus for the longest time (hidden within the species). #CapsDinos #Paleoart #Dinosaur

The ceratopsid Cryptarcus. It has a large rectangular frill that stands up behind it's head. It's tipped with small spikes. It has two medium sized horns on it's brow and a smaller one on it's nose. It has a long beaked mouth. It has a stout body and shorter tail. It has green skin with darker patterning down along the top of it's tail to it's head. It's underbelly is a pale green-tinged cream. The three colors combined on it's head and frill to make a patterning. With the cream color over the green and the darker green overtop of that. It has burgundy eyes.

Iguanodon bernissartensis, built twice. The modern mount stands on all fours, the way the animal is read today. The other is the famous 1882 standing pose from Brussels, upright with the tail on the ground.
