Today's dino is Kank, the Unenlagiid raptor that lived during the late Cretaceous in Argentina. Their longer snouts & theorized semi-aquatic diet were the distinguishing characteristics of this group! #CapsDinos #Paleoart #Dinosaur

Kank, the unenlagiid raptor. It had a long muzzle, feathered forelimbs and long, thing hind legs that had a sickle-like clawed toe. It's body is a pale greyish green with an offwhite underbelly. It has a small patch of orange on it's neck and it's muzzle and hindlimbs below the knees are a pale brown. Its claws are a dark color and it's eyes are red. It's body is lowered in a readied pose with it's head looking up with an anticipatory look on it's face.

Today's dino is Cryptarcus, the late Cretaceous ceratopsid found in Alberta. It's name means hidden arch, because it was considered a species of Chasmosaurus for the longest time (hidden within the species). #CapsDinos #Paleoart #Dinosaur

The ceratopsid Cryptarcus. It has a large rectangular frill that stands up behind it's head. It's tipped with small spikes. It has two medium sized horns on it's brow and a smaller one on it's nose. It has a long beaked mouth. It has a stout body and shorter tail. It has green skin with darker patterning down along the top of it's tail to it's head. It's underbelly is a pale green-tinged cream. The three colors combined on it's head and frill to make a patterning. With the cream color over the green and the darker green overtop of that. It has burgundy eyes.

We have more dino art! This is Eopinacosaurus, an ankylosaurid dino from the Late Cretaceous found in Mongolia! #CapsDinos #Paleoart #Dinosaur

Eopinacosaurus, the ankylosaurid dino. It walks on all fours and it's head, back and tail are all covered in an array of large esteoderm spikes. The spikes are especially large around it's neck. It's head is armored with larger spikes near the back of it's skull. It has thicker esteoderms on it's forelimbs as well. On it's tail is a large boney club, similar to other ankylosaurids. It's brown with a white underbelly. It's head and shoulders have a patterning of yellow. It's osteoderms/spikes and claws are a dark grey.
