It's day nine of #paleomori2026 !! And with that we have a very tall man with very long arms, and a relatively short dinosaur with very tiny arms. Trying to balance mine and Hellsing's art styles was a fun puzzle that I mostly made work. #cretaceous #dinosaur #Hellsing #paleoart #paleontology

This vinegarroon is one of the few named species of this order from the entire Mesozoic era. It already looks quite modern in every details, and shares a lot of features with the current vinegarrons living in the Americas.

Size : 12-ish cm of body length
Time period : Early Cretaceous

The animal drawn is a vinegaroon, an arachnid looking a bit like a scorpion with long thin first legs used as antennae

In the shallow sea over late #Cretaceous Europe, A pair of Mosasaurus lemonnieri begin to rip apart a subadult Phosphorosaurus ortliebi they’ve just caught. New idea: in the late Cretaceous this clade of Tritylodonts would have developed a muscular lip-pad as a digging/soil-foraging tool, and then right after the k/pg it gets elongated and co-opted for browsing until you could reasonably call it a trunk. #specevo #cynodont #cretaceous
