#Mouthful is today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme and I thought I would have to pass. Lucky me on my walk this morning a Ring billed Gull cooperated. #birds

For #BirdOfTheDay #Mouthful, a Double-crested Cormorant with an enormous meal. This cormorant was impressive: the fish got swallowed in less than 30 seconds, and the cormorant immediately dove back down to catch another.

This #grackle with a sunflower seed is nowhere near as dramatic as some of today's #BirdoftheDay submissions on the theme of #Mouthful. How birds can catch and swallow whole bugs and fish among other prey is amazing! #AmherstMA
