Just a quick one to say an interview I recorded with Sharp End is out tonight at 10.45 on ITV1 Wales. Also some other bits on thank yous and a potential YouTube channel/podcast about Welsh Politics in the future. Also fingers crossed for 3 points tonight🤞

2/2 Senedd election in Cardiff specifically for under 18s and honestly his responses and attitudes towards many issues they raised were vile. It’s a disgrace that Reform put him forward as an MS candidate in the first place and he has spent his time in the Senedd causing more hatred and division.

I’ve had interactions with both these people Yuliia Bond does loads of good work for her community and is a credit to Caerffili, Cymru ,Ukraine and the World. Joe Martin on the other hand does nothing but spread hatred and fear I was on a panel with him and people from other parties ahead of 1/2

2/2 joining the Greens in the first place. I hope she doesn't end up receiving some of the vile hatred that myself and others who have worked hard for the party for many years have had for stating this simple pillar of Green Politics of that being Grassroots Democracy.

@nataliegreenpeer.bsky.social speaking a lot of sense on the
BBC right now about how we shouldn't be talking about a one state or two state solution because it should be up to the people of Palestine to decide the specifics of their own futures.

Natalie was a big reason for me joining the …1/2

Thanks and yes the inner workings of the party are very complex even to many long term members themselves. One of the things I was trying to do in the party in my limited capacity was to increase the education about the party to new members😊

Thanks Neal😊

2/2 by the wider Green Party but I’m not surprised this part of the story has been largely brushed over despite it being by far the biggest reason I decided to leave. The concerns and frustrations of people living in Wales often get overlooked by those in England.

Whilst I may not be in the party anymore I wish @zackpolanski.bsky.social luck in today’s by-election and hope he wins. Labour are a neoliberal establishment party that will change nothing.

I also wish the general media had focused more on my points about Welsh members not feeling supported1/2

2/2 If you’re not happy you should resign and be replaced by the next person on your parties list. The way elected representatives suddenly forget about voters to me shows arrogance and a disregard for democracy. To me it also shows they are more interested in money than doing the right thing.

@phildavies1995.bsky.socialOct 8, 2026, 10:08 AM

I still maintain this should not be allowed the same as the Reform member who switched to Plaid. Under the Senedd voting system you were not voted in as an individual you were voted in under a party list. To still allow MS’s (regardless of the party) to switch is completely undemocratic.1/2

And after a long day of interviews and answering folks it’s finally time for a pint and catch up with a close friend. Deffo a day away from Politics tomorrow but if you want to see my ugly mug tonight I should be on Novarra Media on Youtube , S4C at 7.30 and ITV Wales News at some point tonight. 1/2

Phil was a good friend and supporter of me while I was in the Welsh Green Party. He actively supported the set up of the Wales Young Greens and was a keen supporter of Welsh Democracy. I not only feel his concerns acutely they were also part of the reason I left.

@phildavies1995.bsky.socialOct 7, 2026, 9:20 AM

Thanks Charlie you did so much work for the party and deserved better than what you got.

2/2 I really respect @steveaich.bsky.social I’m also friends with Dan Naughton a Lib Dem councillor in Cardiff who I knew from Uni. When I was the MP candidate for Torfean I also got to know Brendan Roberts the Lib Dem candidate well but he’s now left you.

Adults can disagree respectfully😊

@phildavies1995.bsky.socialOct 7, 2026, 12:52 AM

Correct. For that and many other reasons. As with all political parties though even if I disagree with them I can still be friends with people who are members of them and acknowledge their are good people working hard for there local area in that party. For the Welsh Lib Dems and my experiences…1/2

Thanks Steve even though we were in different parties it was always clear you were a very caring and hardworking person who wanted the best for is area and I’m glad I have gotten to meet you and talk to you on a couple of occasions😊
