@zackpolanski.bsky.social : "Does Andy Burnham really want to end neoliberalism, and if he does, why has he ruled out rent controls? Why is he talking about public control of water companies, rather than [public] ownership?"
Spot on.

Not for the first time, I’d ask: what does it mean, if the press keep running campaigns claiming that country’s most horrific racists and bigots are the Green Party, the Labour left, Amnesty International, Stonewall, the police (I know) and Gary Lineker? Look around you. Does that feel right?
Man, it sure is weird how come nobody asks if Palestine has a right to exist...
I am not going to share that disgusting cartoon that was in the Daily Telegraph. Suffice to say that it was disgusting and deeply offensive.
Here is Jewish and Muslim Greens' joint statement on the matter, and a call to the DT to withdraw it - jewishgreens.greenparty.org.uk/2026/10/11/j...

Probably not. Cut benefits. Cut pensions. Blame the immigrants. But never #taxtherich,
New research from @jrf-uk.bsky.social
Here's something the media is hardly talking about. This Government is set to oversee the steepest fall in living standards in modern times - unless they change course fast. In less than two weeks Labour faces a stark choice - will they tax wealth and back the majority?
The contrast between the utterly sycophantic coverage this week of Kemi Badenoch, whose party has a truly atrocious electoral record under her leadership, and the utterly dismissive coverage of the Greens, tells you everything you need to know about media bias in the UK
At times like this, the mask really comes off the British media. There is no pretence - at all - about their impartiality or objectivity towards the Green Party. It is a blatant naked partisan cross-media assault against the Greens.
Green vote up from 11% to 33%; changing Holborn & St Pancras from a safe Labour seat to a marginal. Second best Green by-election result ever, making the seat winnable next time. 33% would win quite a few seats in the country with the vote division between several parties as things stand.
“Burnham wouldn’t be there without Zack, because we won four times as many votes from Labour as Reform.” Green Party Deputy Leader Rachel Millward, on BBC Newsnight, discussing Zack Polanski’s influence on moving Labour to the left.
A campaign powered by people. Thank you to everyone who played their part. 💚

If the @greenparty.org.uk can run Labour this close, under their new and currently popular Prime Minister, enjoying his temporary 'bounce', what will they be able to do once the novelty wears off? 👍
We TRIPLED our vote share.
Second best byelection result in Green Party history.
On a date that Labour chose to deliberately clash the same week as our conference.
All with a brand new PM in previously a "safe" seat.
Best response to all the absolute nonsense today?
... the basis of the actual facts, not on the basis of how the media is choosing to spin those facts to create a news story. If the media has any sense, it will consider this and how their coverage is viewed, along with the trust they're losing in their coverage of Polanski.
The winner of Nobel peace prize doing what the Government of the United Kingdom will not do: calling Israel's actions in Gaza a genocide.
A campaign to be proud of. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.
@zackpolanski.bsky.social points out that under his leadership the Greens have had their two best by-election results in the history of the party, and he concludes: "if people are watching & think, I want to see the Greens do better, join.greenparty.org.uk "
