@thexylom.comReposted by @tankadhakal.bsky.socialNEW: Scientists are piecing together the factors that led to the disastrous Nepal-Tibet floods, which have also exposed gaps in cross-border information sharing on hazards in the rapidly changing Himalayas. A dispatch by @tankadhakal.bsky.social and Manish Aryal from Rasuwa District, Nepal:
@alexip718.comReposted by @tankadhakal.bsky.socialWe believe in empowering young, local reporters to cover issues important to their communities, so we did that in the aftermath of the Nepal-Tibet floods. Thank you @tankadhakal.bsky.social (please give him a follow!) and Manish for their important reporting though this extremely challenging time.
@healthpolicywatch.bsky.socialReposted by @tankadhakal.bsky.social🔊Nepal contributed just 0.05% of global CO₂ emissions in 2024. Yet a glacial collapse & flash flood has killed more than 1,000 people & left nearly 4,000 missing — a brutal measure of climate inequality.
