Nature-based Solutions Initiative

Prof Nathalie Seddon joins a team of experts to propose three shifts to help integrate national security assessments and economic modelling. 💡 One of the key takeaways: when potential damage is severe and irreversible, being under-prepared comes at a far greater cost than that of over-preparing.

After a summer of record heat, the urgency of preparing for climate and nature risks in the UK is evident. But current approaches can produce conflicting advice on the severity of risks, making it difficult for policymakers to decide how to act and spend.

Chocolate and bushbabies: an unlikely pairing? But new research suggests that cocoa farms could have an important role in supporting these small, nocturnal primates 🍫
