Doodled a lil serene pony! I *need* to get better at markings, but this was a fun little project. GOD I love pencil textures haha

@kbdraws92.bsky.socialReposted by @metalpetalart.bsky.socialToday I answered my own question of "Oil pastels on thin cardboard/cardstock, can you laminate 'em for preservation?"
The answer is
Kinda. If it's lightly layered, like on the eye, it works. If the layering is thicc, well, the tree did not survive 🤣
It's a pretty smear tho!

@kbdraws92.bsky.socialReposted by @metalpetalart.bsky.socialI think... I got better at drawing eyes with oil pastels than in digital. Digital is still fun tho.
Lotta zoning out and just throwing colours at this, kept my woozy head occupied very pleasantly
@metalpetalart.bsky.socialas someone with little interest in doing things like day and night cycles, i really am happy that someone's finally been working on godot 4's lightmaps. the leaking issues have really hurt my soul when trying to use it
@metalpetalart.bsky.socialim so glad you're working on the lightmapper.

Or so Kudi wants you to think
This one was a bit simpler, but still just as enjoyable to make :>
@kbdraws92.bsky.socialReposted by @metalpetalart.bsky.socialSome soft expressions from Aelon.
Wondering why this isn't something I've done before. I adore eyes, they're gorgeous and hold so much of a person's essence!
@kbdraws92.bsky.socialReposted by @metalpetalart.bsky.socialOrrin with the eyeroll into the "sorry, WHAT?"
Yeah this might indeed become a series :D

@kbdraws92.bsky.socialReposted by @metalpetalart.bsky.socialWhether this is gonna be a series of character eyes or just a one-off is wholly dependant on how hard the hyperfixation hits, but,
Bragthos :>
@kbdraws92.bsky.socialReposted by @metalpetalart.bsky.socialIt's still moving. It's not moving RIGHT and what's attached to it certainly shouldn't be but.
It's still moving.
@metalpetalart.bsky.socialaren't you working on finishing it anyways? did you have any doubts about that?
@kbdraws92.bsky.socialReposted by @metalpetalart.bsky.socialNothing deep here, just a random somewhat edgy "Between Rylene and Eyebie, who would handle a harsh confrontation better?" exploration.
It'd be Eyebie.
@metalpetalart.bsky.socialsounds like you should get cracking then
@ingridskogstad.bsky.socialReposted by @metalpetalart.bsky.socialA new feline species has been discovered in the cloud forests of Bolivia! It was named Leopardus tilcayo, or the Tilcayo tiger cat.
I'm so excited for this little kitty! Have a fanart
