NEW: Yup, Lane Kiffin painted the visiting locker room in Tiger Stadium pink. #LSU
But will it actually affect visiting teams when they come to Baton Rouge?
I investigated that question here: www.nola.com/sports/lsu/l...
The pinkification of Tiger Stadium's visitors locker room will be complete this weekend for Mississippi State.
A great read from @kokiriley.bsky.social on why LSU's Lane Kiffin likes to give visiting locker rooms a Barbie dreamland vibe. There's a science to it.

Is it bad that LSU QB Sam Leavitt has thrown eight interceptions in six games?
He says "maybe" -- referencing a more than 2,000-year-old story that demonstrates how "bad" things can turn into good things eventually.

On the same day as SEC basketball media days, the conference's lawyers responded to the Louisiana AG's motion to dismiss its federal lawsuit against LSU officials.
The league argues its lawsuit must live on because Will Wade could still add RJ Luis.

Lane Kiffin was worried LSU linebacker Whit Weeks might be difficult to replace.
He saw it in last year's game tape.

The Lane Kiffin era at LSU started with a bang in a lopsided opener. But a couple of close SEC losses have altered the Tigers' course.
Reassessing where things stand halfway through the regular season:

Lane Kiffin is usually the aggressive type. ESPN's color commentator thought he'd go for it on fourth-and-1. Kiffin did too for a moment.
But he chose to punt at Kentucky. And he struggled with that choice postgame.

Sam Leavitt has had a couple of bad turnovers today, but the return of his scrambling threat is paying off. He rolls in for a 15-yard TD run. LSU takes a 34-27 lead on Kentucky in the first OT.
Going to OT. Kentucky and LSU, tied at 27.
Kentucky's kicker having a tough night. Two straight FGs missed after LSU's defense holds in the red zone. That's a huge bailout after that Sam Leavitt fumble. LSU holding to a 27-24 lead with 3:11 left
Credit LSU's secondary with a coverage sack on Kenny Minchey that set up another field goal -- which Kentucky misses. Two straight drives where the Tigers' secondary comes up big late. 27-24, LSU, with 4:57 left
Unaware if Jackson Harris played any QB in high school but that was a beautiful pass by the LSU receiver. Roman Mothershed giving the Tigers' some good snaps too. 27-24, LSU, with 9:42 left
Jhase Thomas with the tackle of the game thus far. Kentucky has to kick a field goal in the red zone as well. Wildcats' lead over LSU back to four, 24-20. 11:54 left
LSU's 11-play, 73-yard drive stalls in the red zone and the Tigers settle for another chipshot field goal. 21-20, Kentucky, with 2:13 left in the 3Q
Ruling upheld. TD. Kentucky leads LSU, 21-17, at halftime.
UK gets the ball to start the second half, so might as well go for it on 4th-and-goal at the 1 and go for a lead at half. Minchey sneaks it in on the first try, but LSU called timeout. Second try, Minchey stopped initially but keeps pushing. Kiffin arguing it. Under review.
LSU goes jumbo on fourth-and-1. Sean Thompkins at left tackle, Devin Harper at tight end on the left side, then Jordan Seaton and two TEs to the right. Pitch right. It works. Then Leavitt pitches to Jackson Harris for a TD.
After much review, Kentucky's 55-yard punt return TD is upheld. Maybe a sliver of the very outside of his cleat touched a white blade of grass, but refs couldn't see indisputable evidence. 14-10, Kentucky, 13:06 2Q
