@kokiriley.bsky.socialNew pod!
@jonblau.bsky.social, Scott Rabalais, Zach Ewing and I previewed #LSU-Mississippi State and talked about pink locker rooms, the Parable of Maybe and a crazy-loaded SEC slate.
YouTube:
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Yup, Lane Kiffin painted the visiting locker room in Tiger Stadium pink. #LSU
But will it actually affect visiting teams when they come to Baton Rouge?
I investigated that question here: www.nola.com/sports/lsu/l...
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Bino Watters didn’t play, Dawson Park pinch-ran once and Angel Laya and Jason Wachs only squared around to bunt.
So why were #LSU’s transfers so inactive in the Tigers’ first fall scrimmage?
5 takeaways from last night:
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNew pod!!!
Jon Blau, Zach Ewing and I previewed #LSU-Kentucky from every angle.
- Importance of controlling LOS for LSU’s defense
- Sam Leavitt’s legs/mobility
- Kentucky’s decent defense
- And a lot more!
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: TJ Dottery didn’t start this year with the green dot, in part because Lane Kiffin thought it may have slowed him down at Ole Miss last year.
But with Whit Weeks out, Dottery has reassumed the role. #LSU

@kokiriley.bsky.socialNew pod!
Reed Darcey, Scott Rabalais and I recapped the McNeese State win, talked Sam Leavitt and Harlem Berry and took a peak at #LSU’s schedule the next few weeks.
YouTube:

@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Lane Kiffin likes his team.
But after 5 weeks of mostly dominant results against mostly subpar teams, how good is #LSU really?
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Here's my Week 5 AP poll
- Alabama is really, really good
- Missouri shines
- Don't sleep on Northwestern!
- And a lot more (I'm looking at you Pat Narduzzi)
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Harlem Berry shined in #LSU’s blowout win over McNeese State.
Is it a sign that another boost is coming for the Tigers’ run game?
@kokiriley.bsky.socialI guess you’re not cool these days unless you win the game with exactly one second left to play.
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Brian Kelly shared his thoughts on #LSU after its loss to Ole Miss.
What he said was directly aimed toward an aspect of the offense that Kiffin’s attacks are heavily reliant on.
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Whit Weeks is out, so where does #LSU's linebacking core stand now?
“It’s not just because of the player that he is; it’s the mentality and what he brings around him and how he is.”
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW POD: Zach Ewing, Scott Rabalais and I talked about #LSU a third of the way through the season.
What positive signs suggest that the Tigers are a playoff team? What could stop them from reaching that goal?
Discussed all of that and more here: youtu.be/6YpzGqWzK4s?...
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Lane Kiffin might sit starters against McNeese State. Sam Leavitt is an obvious candidate, but who else could #LSU rest before facing SEC teams for the rest of the year?
"We’ll be extremely cautious this week all around."
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: I wrote about Jackson Harris, and how the wideout helped #LSU make a meaningful stride toward replacing Trey’Dez Green in the offense.
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Lane Kiffin is concerned. This was an issue he knew could pop up after a couple of injuries.
The answer? Depth, and #LSU’s lack of it.

“How dare he? How could he? Shame on him.” ⤵️
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: Last night, I attended a Lane Kiffin roast in Oxford.
Here’s what I heard that I was allowed to publish. #LSU
“LSU fans think Lane loves them, and that’s sweet. We used to think the stripper really liked us too.”
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: As Lane Kiffin returns to Oxford this weekend, it’s clear that residents of the town have mixed emotions about their former coach coming back. #LSU
“How dare he? How could he? Shame on him.”
@kokiriley.bsky.socialNEW: My first report from Oxford, including thoughts from Pete Golding and a few Ole Miss students on Lane Kiffin and what this weekend is set to look like.
“I don’t understand why he did it.” #LSU
