You know you’re a cat owner when you find yourself buying random bits of foam to craft a replacement loungey space for your cat because she loved the packing material from a random package so much that she wore it out 😅

Before the whirlwind that was fall events kicking off and caring for my cat lady, there was WorldCon, DragonCon, and fun with family in between ^_^ (Yes, it was a heckuva long trip, and on my own, but what a cool experience!)

If you're in MN October 2-4 and looking for fun gaming, consider ConFABulous! It's a small, super super chill con with a lot of heart. I have been on the con com on and off over the years and attend every year regardless, great opportunity to try new games and slow down/relax for a day or two 😄

Update: The cause of her problems has, we think, been fixed and Tristana is healing :) Thanks for all the love as we went through this journey. She still has some follow ups and a couple months of care ahead of her but should be on the path to recovery, at least ❤️❤️

She still has a bit of a journey ahead of her, we still don’t know for sure what’s causing it. She’s scheduled for CT scans tomorrow. But still a charmer 🥹 Fingers crossed for our little lady 🙂

Brought Tristana to last minute vet appts last week due to a sudden eye change. She’s been diagnosed with Horner’s Syndrome and has been a CHAMP while we look for a solution, charming all the docs so hard you’d almost think nothing was wrong 😆 Honestly couldn’t be prouder of our little princess 🥹

I think that about wraps up my first in-person WorldCon! On 11 panels + Art Show, jammed to DJ John Scalzi, met so many cool artists and writers and fellow fans, and actually watched the Hugos for the first time where I learned way more fascinating animal facts than I thought I ever needed ☺️

Thank you so much to everyone who attended any of these panels, all of the wonderful panelists, and the LAcon V volunteers! Every discussion was vibrant and fulfilling and you’re all wonderful 😊
