Public Domain Art is the lifeblood of small tabletop rpgs, but it can be a nightmare trying to find the right art and license. This week, I’ve re-uploaded my old list from 2020 (with updates) of public domain websites. That's 500,000+ public domain paintings, photos, maps, and film. Link below 🔗👇
"Get in, bitches, we're going WALKING!"
We had a fun time with #BigWalk 💖

Day 3: Fighting Game
Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] -
Erudite Eyes (Chaos Theme)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=qz52...
I have tried to play Under Night In-Birth... Like many 2D fighters, I am patently terrible at it xD But I do love the vibes and I did steal this theme for an OC, so 😆
Day 2: Opening Level
Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-i8...
Okay this feels like such a basic answer, but Green Hill Zone is like, the Quintessential opening level in my mind 😆
(Never mind the posting date, I was busy all Sunday....)
Day 1: Title Theme
Legend of Mana - Title Theme
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTqe...
Immediately making my life a nightmare if I choose to do Hard Mode by blowing one of my favorite games up front, but watching this opening movie, without exaggeration, probably changed my life
Okay, this sounds fun... Let's give this a go 😎
For sure! I think that tracks because the 70s-80s were more the era of the straight-laced space opera, while the 90s were "space opera but now we're getting wild with it"
To me Galaxy Legend Stalwart sounds the most like "niche 80s mech anime you read about on a Wiki but it only came out on limited laserdisc release so you've never actually seen it" but Grand Space Ishmael is the most evocative, like "What does that mean? Who is Ishmael? I want to know more..."
(*Without marking, that first post should say!)
(This is particularly notable because back in my school days I became so fixated on playing Minesweeper to unwind that it became kind of a joke, and even back then I never got my head into the right mode to successfully clear the game that way... Not sure what finally shifted after so many years!)
In an achievement that is probably only exciting to me, for the first time in my entire life I just managed to clear an Expert level Minesweeper board without clearing any of the bombs
Fuck ChatGPT flyers. The future is broadsheets.

"Please sir, that's my emotional support YouTube essay I'll never actually watch"
Humaning.
I hated the show Caillou as a kid, but my sister liked it. The one and only day that I decided to be gracious and let her know that Caillou was about to start was September 11th, 2001, and if you can believe it, they weren't showing Caillou that morning.
Oh but hey, the years following brought us [checks notes] freedom fries 😒
Letting human translators to review AI translations is quite ridiculous. It’s like asking professional people for repairing a broken stolen car when they have enough skill to make new cars legally.
