First reaction: Burnham’s speech was brilliant. Haven’t had goosebumps like that since the Obama years. I think the triple lock gping in these circumstances is probably fair. Lots for Lib Dems to work with and modify Labour’s one size fits all instincts. And electoral reform! Yay!!!!!

The motion calling for a rethink of equality law so that everyone can live in dignity and safety matters deeply to all liberals. While trans people are most profoundly affected most of us know the dangers of standing by while marginalised peoole are picked on by the state and the media. #ldconf

Let’s be clear here. Anyone saying we should throw trans rights under the bus in order to protect *their* rights from Nigel Farrage is *not* a Liberal. They are a coward.
